2009 Subaru Forester won’t drive on reverse. 4 years ago had the same issue and they told me I needed a new transmission, so was changed.. now again same issue. I did noticed that on my last brake replacement, my MPG were lower at 18.6 rather than 21 for the average. I have been reading some and I feel might be a caliper problem.. same mechanic has been doing my car repairs for the last 20 years .. do you think might be transmisión again?

Yes.
Check to make sure it's not just low on fluid, though if it is you have a leak somewhere.
