1978 Chevy nova

I have a 1978 Chevrolet Nova base model automatic trans with the 305 v8 sbc, it wasn’t starting for the past two days so I decided to get my battery and alternator inspected and they both passed the test. I figured that maybe the carburetor wasn’t getting enough fuel so I changed the fuel pump and the car started right up and then turned off and then we started her again and she stayed on. We adjusted the alternator belt and started her up and I saw a spark somewhere in the front of the engine and now the car doesn’t crank or start and has no lights. Checked the fuse box and one fuse was broken (glass fuse) but it didn’t look burned so we tried swapping with another fuse to see if the fuse was the problem but we broke the one we were trying to use so now my question is whether it’s the fuse or starter or what could it be, no lights, no crank, no start

Well that's pretty old car they're not that hard to diagnose check all the wirings from the battery to the ignition switch to the starter and then check the ground wire from the negative battery cable to the frame and to the engine block somewhere you've lost power if you know how to use a meter use the meter it'll show you where the problem lies
