Scotty hope your doing well I have a 1983 Mercedes 300td wagon turbo diesel that’s been sitting for over a decade I hooked up a brand new battery and I had headlights, door chime, clock ticking etc. when I turned the key no click from starter and immediately believed I needed a new starter. So I replaced that (which was a pain in the ass) and had it rebuilt instead of buying remanufactured because it was cheaper got it hooked up and went to try and start but I have no electrical power to the car at all now no dummy lights no door chime I tested the battery it’s fine and I don’t see any serious signs of damage to any wires  I also replaced every fuse but I’m not even getting power to the fuse box I’m at a loss currently of what to do I figured maybe you had some knowledge of Mercedes before I give up and send it to the junkyard thank you

First check for corrosion, damaged, broken terminals wires for the battery and everything is tight. If that doesn't work check power and ground to the starter. If problem is still there check the relay and fuses. If none of that works you have to bench test the starter. It sounds like a a bad connection to the battery to me. So clean the post and terminals and tighten everything first
