Hello and thank you for taking my question! I have this vehicle very well maintained mechanically. I live in Canada. My 1999 Corolla has 290,000 kilometres. I had my front brake pads replaced about 9000 km ago. the front left caliper was also replaced as it was dragging. the front right caliper was not replaced. A month or so later I was feeling a shaking steering wheel. I took it back and had the rotors replaced. so now everything in the front bakes has been replaced, except the right caliper. Read drum bakes recently serviced. Now it is starting to shake again. I intend to have a look, I used to fix my own cars when I was younger and I probably still could. Could it be front end parts causing the vibrating steering wheel while braking? or are my rotors warped in 10,000 km? thanks!
Have the rotors measured, at different points, to see if the thickness is constant. (They could have been new, but out-of-spec). Take a look at the wear patterns on the rotors. Make sure, again, that the calipers are moving freely. Check to see if the pads are installed correctly, and examine if they are wearing unevenly.
One other possibility goes to whether a brake flush was done, and done right (either when the pads or rotors were replaced).
Old brake fluid, with too much moisture, would create more heat, while breaking, stressing the system.
Good luck.
Did you use OEM rotors or Chinese aftermarket parts?
If it was all OEM parts, have your car inspected by a reputed front end shop.
Check your front wheel bearing for wear.
