Hi all: my tire pressure is fine, wheel alignment done 1000 miles ago and just got it done today, and tires rotated, but still pulls left when no hands on steering wheel. Any idea what's going on?

you had an alignment done today? And it pulls to one side?

Seems the didn't align it very well. Drive it right back in there.

You mentioned before you had a warped rotor shake. That tends to wear out suspension/steering components faster.

Ok, so the dude said that the car pulls left because of the weight distribution, camber, something about original shocks, and adding weight to the right side to even the weight distribution. Any thoughts?

It sounds like the "dude" is making feeble excuses. No car has completely even weight distribution. Add weight to the right side? That's borderline insanity. Shocks? I've driven many cars with old shocks and they may bounce a little if a bit worn but they don't pull to the side.

Even if you had something bent in the suspension or loose parts a good alignment tech would be able to tell you that definitively. You need to find a better chassis shop.

I have seen this before. For very, uh... lets say "muscular" people, their weight is enough to throw off the alignment. The solution was to perform the alignment with an occupied vehicle. Something I see a lot and have never been able to understand is why large people love to drive tiny cars.

Yup. I am trying to trust the small shop and not a chain shop but it's making me question everyone 😅 still at the shop for over an hour trying to get it right. $80 for all four wheels.

That might have been for my 2015 Kia Rio, which I got rid of for 10k at CarMax 2 weeks ago!

my mistake. But you did well on the sale.

Thanks! I'm lucky cuz the price fluctuated so much between months! 9k to 8k to 10k. Stock market but with cars!

maybe you need to sit in the vehicle while he does the alignment.

Understood. I did drive it much further to grab lunch and it drove straight. I'll try highway driving and double check this again. The previous owner for 21 years was a big lady so idk if that affected this, but perhaps yeah I agree on a more reputable shop.
