Hello,
any suggestions on what to look for in a 2000 avalon with a 184k for purchase? TIA!
So you want to start out with a nearly 25-year-old car with relatively high mileage. I hope it's cheap. How much longer do you expect it to last?
“any suggestions on what to look for…”
Look for a competent mechanic to perform a thorough pre-purchase inspection. At that age and mileage it would be impossible to adequately advise you here regarding all of the maintenance and/or repair items that need to be diligently examined on that particular vehicle .
Additionally, I personally would never purchase any used car without documented records of proper maintenance history, especially regarding engine oil and filter, engine air filter, transmission fluid, timing belt, spark plugs, etc.
a very low price.
