Hello Scotty, long time fan, and first time question.
I have a 2001 Ford Mustang that has first gear popping out as I'm releasing the clutch and engaging the throttle. I added transmission fluid to no avail. The clutch is only a year old and as of now i'm at a lost on what to do. I appreciate any advice you can offer.

Your transmission synchros are worn out. Time for a transmission rebuild or replacement.

The first gear synchros are worn out. It's not going completely into gear. As @chucktobias pointed out, you need to have the transmission rebuilt.
