2002 Cadillac Deville with a bad Rear Integration Module

I have a 2002 Cadillac Deville with a bad Rear Integration Module. A bunch of things don’t work now like the door locks and trunk. I’ve pulled the codes and a message comes up: “No RIM Data.”

The other codes are:

DDM U1000

IPC U1000

IPM U1000

PCM U1066

PDM U1000

I’ve thrown parts at this thing such as, another rear fuse box and another RIM from E-Bay. I’ve tested voltage and ground at the RIM. Everything seems to be OK. I thought that perhaps the first used RIM was bad, so I’ve ordered another used RIM. But there are three possibilities also.

  • The main computer failed for this one circuit.
  • One of the wires is frayed somewhere and doesn’t allow enough current to pass.
  • The RIM must be programmed to match the car.

I’ve spoken to the owner of an automotive electronics shop and he says it should just be plug and play, but I thought I’d post my situation here to see if anyone knew any other possibilities.

Does anyone have any comments or criticisms or snide remarks? {black}:sweaty:

Well I don't know if it's tonight but it's the truth those are endless money pits their GM piles of garbage and yours has serious electrical problems now.generally not worth delving into really the car's worth absolutely nothing. Put on Craigslist to see if some fool will buy it
