Dear Scotty, I watch your You tube channel most of the time. all I could say is your the Epitome of mechanic greatness!!! Say I have a problem with my 2002 Toyota Celica Gt (130,000 miles) automatic shifter it seems it won't go into park when I press on the brake. I tried to get a straight answer from local mechanics but they seem to want to swindle me. Knowing you advocate beware of costly repairs I thought to give you a try. Do you believe as a DIY guy can I, fix it myself. I, did buy a used shifter assembly. from a used auto parts store what do you think. You probably have an interlock solenoid between the brake and shifter. Check the simple stuff first, like whether your brake light switch is working since that probably is what releases the interlock.
