Hi Scotty, huge fan of your channel. I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe, 4x4, 5.3 V8, with 193,000 miles on it. It runs great, but When I start it in the morning It will have a rough idle for a minute or two and then eventually start idling smooth. This typically only happens in cold weather. Any thoughts on what might be going on?
Thanks
If it only happens in cold weather it's some type of electronic problem could be a dirty maf sensor could be electrical connections or corroded when they're cold they don't send enough juice couldn't be a weak fuel pump
And as old as it is I can't even be a slightly worn out engine I would start by doing wet and dry compression at the engine just worn I'd live with it and wouldn't go any further
A easy check would be leaks in airlines. Old hoses that make connection when warm and more flexible will leak when cold and stiff. Push hoses to check leaks.
