Hey, I'm looking at a 2004 Scion xA automatic with 88k miles, seller is asking for $4,500, what are your thoughts on that, Tia.
It’s a Toyota; they can last a while if taken care of and very dependable. That seems like a good deal for that mileage. Always make sure a professional and trusty mechanic checks it out before you purchase the car.
They are well made cars. Scion was a division of Toyota and they made solid cars. I would definitely have a mechanic check it out before you buy it and haggle on the price. Keep in mind that they are tiny cars, not exactly the best family car or highway cruiser. Daily driver, maybe...
Take it on a test drive, see if you are fine with how it drives. You might want to also check out the Scion XD from a few model years later.
As for value, Edmunds tops it out at $3000 and that is also what I would shoot for on an old Scion hatchback.
