Hello I reconnected my battery in my 2004 tundra to the wrong terminals by accident, heard wierd noise from a eletrical box without the key in til I put the battery in right.
Found the 100amp main relay fuse blew so changed it.
The dash and milage came back on. It was cranking without starting and I held it til it started now, and it can idle,
but has a delay in response when pressing the accelerator peddle, same thing when pulling the cable itself, it doesnt give gas until pulled a lot now, Something is wrong, but the car still idles perfectly normal.
More fuses and possibly fried some electrics, check codes as you should have them after idling a while, this should help pinpoint possible fuses blown and broke devices.
@hillbilly
I read I can irreparably damage many of the sensitive electronic components such as on-board computers and electronic sensors.
Yep, it can but you are lucky, the car is running so you just need to find what part(s) is broke now and replace... and did I mention luck ; )
@hillbilly
Found the throttle control fuse split
Awesome! Good job, keep looking and get them all, and I'll take 6 lucky numbers ; )
