Hello Scotty,
Any advice on Ford Five Hundred with about 110,000 miles on it? The engine seems very fine, transmission working fine as well but a few electrical issues which has not affected it from moving as I have test driven it for days and seems to be fine. Only ABS, AWD lights remain on and power seats not working all ways.
I am looking at either this or the 2009 Toyota Avalon with transmission entering gear 2 too early and the seller claims it is some D2 sensor that just needs to be replaced.
Both of them are around the same price point.
Thank You
Do not trust the seller's claim. Have it verified by a professional.
I would consider Avalon if your mechanic gives the green light.
Thanks for the update.
I have not taken my mechanic there yet, it is the seller of the Avalon that claims the only fault is just the second gear
Listen to @Doc.
I eventually got the Ford Five Hundred as the Avalon was showing some transmission codes and mechanic advised to go away as it is way expensive to fix, if not a complete replacement but having some issues now with the Ford Five Hundred (Looks like vacuum leak) and frustrating to find it.
