I have 2005 Toyota Corolla 1.5cc japanese model with 80k kms on odometer. My car loses AC freon after every 6.-7 weeks. The last mechanic changed evaporator due to a minor leak. Now there is no leak in entire system when checks. Previous owner had the same issue. He changed ac sensor/  rotatary compressor to piston compressor.but still had the same problem.

I live in summer zone cant survive without ac. Please help me if possible.

With regards

What method was being used to find leaks?

By definition, if you are losing refrigerant you have a leak. There are no other options. The stuff isn't just magically disappearing into the Twilight Zone. Your AC system needs to be checked more carefully and completely for leaks.

Leaks are checked by compressed air.

  • Besides I dont see any wet spots on anywhere visible bcoz freaon leaks along with compressor oils too.

Thank you for ur respond brother

@bbaloch Additional leak testing should be done with UV dye and an electronic detector.
