[Solved] 2005 Toyota Tundra 4.7L Ticking Noise

Hey Scotty, my dear brother owns a 2005 Toyota Tundra 4.7L V8 Automatic with 202K miles and it has this ticking noise, which can be faintly heard below. It’s louder in person,

What problem is this? Is it noisy valvetrain? noisy lifters, valve clatter? Then what is the simplest fix?

Fuel injector sound.


Yes I see, thank you! Just one more question, I had a post earlier and since you knew this noise. Do you think this noise is the same on my personal 2011 Nissan Frontier 4L V6? Here’s the link,

I thought it was lifter tick but I figured out, my valves never have to be adjusted so it most likely wouldn’t be that. It has 150K miles, and it runs like a clock. Do you think that’s noisy injectors too?


It is a similar sound. Just fuel injectors.
