I have one of your favorite vehicles, a year 2006 Toyota Sequoia Limited. It has a single uvap code only triggered, however, almost all the dash warning lights are triggered and this situation is poor design. A single uvap code should not trigger an engine warning light along with all brake system warning lights, etc., because this situation does not effect the safe operation of the vehicle driving down the road or the excellent running condition of the driveline, this several warning lights situation simply causes unecessary panic. Your thoughts please? Mark Patrick Hillman
I've never heard of UVAP. All cars have an EVAP system, but you'll have to provide the exact fault.
A single uvap code should not trigger an engine warning light
yes it should
this situation does not effect the safe operation of the vehicle
you don't think stalling on the highway is unsafe?
It sounds like the explanations you're getting from the "mechanic" are just Fairy Tales. Like you said, research the correct reset procedure, do it and see if you get any satisfaction. That story about the battery was a real "whopper."
battery was installed recently ... prior to this new AGM battery installation NO FAULT CODES were present
You might want to mention this at the BEGINNING of your question next time, instead of leading people on wild goose chase.
Two other FAULT CODES appeared, C1223
C1223 Toyota Code - ABS Control System Malfunction

and C1241.
C1241 Toyota Code - Low Battery Positive Voltage

This is probably the source of your problems. Maybe the battery wasn't installed correctly, or it's the wrong type, or it was dead. Bad power affects all the other systems.
Perhaps a Computer Reset is Required???
You could clear the codes with the diagnostic scan tool, and then see if they come back.
This situation is RIDICULOUS !!!
Cars get problems are a fact of life that everyone deals with. If you freak out over every little obstacle in your life then you won't live very long.
Additionally, we're trying to help you. So please settle down. Stop shouting at us or you'll be shown the door. Thank you.
1972 47' Chris-Craft Commander boat without this RIDICULOUS Computer Craziness
Great. Just stick to your 70's technology then.
What is the exact code. please?
Reply from Mark Hillman: EVAP Fault Codes are P0441 related to "Purge" and P0455 related to "Gross Leak". Vehicle is running EXCELLENT !!! Several warning lights should NOT be triggered over an Emissions related leak, RIDICULOUS DESIGN !!! Perhaps a Computer Reset is Required ??? Your thoughts please? Thank you, in advance. Mark Patrick Hillman
Also, a new AGM battery was installed recently and prior to this new AGM battery installation NO FAULT CODES were present. After the new AGM battery installation the two (2) EVAP FAULT CODES turned most of the dash warning lights on. Two other FAULT CODES appeared, C1223 and C1241. Perhaps a Computer Reset is Required??? Your thoughts please???Further, the previous AGM battery was only 9 months old and failed because of lack of use of the vehicle, I was advised ??? This situation is RIDICULOUS !!! I work on my Twin Marine Detroit Diesel 8V53 two stroke Diesel engines iny year 1972 47' Chris-Craft Commander boat without this RIDICULOUS Computer Craziness and I have NO PROBLEMS with diagnosis any rare problems !!!
