I have a 2007 Honda pilot with 215,000 miles it is a two wheel Front wheel drive SUV — I am at a loss on how to manually put the gears into first second and third. I have the car on a shift gears with the hand gear I can get into park neutral and drive but I am unable to get it into third second and first gear I’ve checked the owners manual and videos on how to do so but it is not allowing me to? am I doing something incorrectly or does something need to be fixed? Please help

You have to pull on the shift lever while pushing down to get it to move into these gears.
