Lexus recommends the timing belt should be changed every 92,000 miles. These are great vehicles but it's probably $1,500 to change out the timing belt, water pump, etc.
The vehicle runs great I almost hate to have a mechanic touch it just because Lexus says I need to do it....
P.S. thanks to you I only own used and paid for Lexus and Toyota vehicles in my family 👍🏼

What exactly is the question?
If you’re asking whether it needs to be changed on schedule, the answer is yes. If you don’t, you risk the belt snapping and then things go downhill from there.

It is an interference engine, which means if you let your timing belt break, you should say goodbye engine.Â
