Mr scotty this 2007 e class has 115,203 miles and dealer wants $5549 will I be paying to much yes or no
There is a reason why a 2007 Toyota Yaris sells for more than a 2007 Mercedes E Class.
While Mercedes are fine vehicles, they cost an arm and a leg to maintain or fix. If you are looking for a reliable car, pass. But if you are looking to get down and dirty, and maintain it yourself, and spend the money to maintain it, go for it.
There are three things that make this a huge mistake;
1. Mercedes
2. Dealer
3. $5549
Being a 14 year old German car and out of the original warranty, you are bound to have costly repairs worth more than the purchase price, especially if you plan to have a mechanic work on the car for every little issue.
I would pass on it unless you plan to do all the work yourself and know where to source parts (assumes you are mechanically inclined and understand the inner workings of that Mercedes). Even then, it will be a labor of love.
Doesn't matter what you buy it for, the ownership cost will be too much.
Don't waste your money on that E-class. At that mileage and age, things will break here and there and cost you an arm and a leg to repair.
Yes thats a ripoff, if you buy that car you will grow to regret it.
