I was driving 70 on the highway on cruise control with my passenger charging and using her phone, with the ac on max cold, and the radio on, after driving like that for about half an hour the car wasn’t pumping gas and all my dashboard lights came on and the gas pedal got really hard so I pulled over…. What could of caused this? A fuel filter? The alternator and battery were both checked and are good Help. What could of caused this? After being on the side of the road for about an hour waiting for help the car started back up….. and now it’s driving fine please help!……….

Did your gas pedal or brake pedal get really hard?

If there’s no codes & your battery+alternator tested good, start here -

Thank you, i think it’ll be the fuel pump… since it died when I was driving at a high speed.

I’ve had a check engine like with a p0420 code on that Nissan 08 but I’ve been ignoring it and then when this problem occurred about losing power I went to a local auto parts store to check the engine light and then some dtc’s appeared there’s was one that read p0845 transmission fluid pressure switch b and idk if I could just change the switch and that’ll solve the problem or if I should just change the step motor since the car won’t go over 50 mph up a somewhat steep hill. PLEASE HELP

I only had one dtc’s and it was p0845 and ever since that code the car won’t go up a steep hill it just revs high and I’ve changed the cvt fluid 2 times with the filter and that didn’t fix anything, I’ve been doing some research and i found that to replace the valve body or the whole tranny Bc my Nissan kinda are defective with the transmission CVT

I’d listen to @doc on this one. None of the fixes are cheap (cat or new tranny). You could try the Nissan bulletin for your car and replace the transmission valve body, but then price out that job and decide if you want to throw any more money into an old high mileage Nissan who CVT is probably on its last legs. If I were you, I’d live with it and start looking for a replacement vehicle.

A 13 year old economy car with over 200K miles?  Probably time to throw in the towel.
