Hi guys, I have a Lexus IS220D with 92000 km (around 60k miles) and my car was losing coolant fast and white smoke, I spoke with my local mechanic who says the head gasket has failed, and that the head could be cracked and if that's the case I got told it's around €3000 to repair with a new head. I also found that my car was due for a recall for new cylinder heads but I don't know if my car ever had it done and it's out of the recall period. What should I do now?

Unfortunately, if it is out of the recall period, there is not much you can do.
From what you described in would say your mechanic is probably right about the head gasket at least. Tough luck on that one.
