Hey, I have had my “check engine soon” light come on after the first problem. One day I was getting in my car to go to work but my car wasn’t recognizing the key so I said to myself “probably just needs a new battery for they key” I bought a new battery and it was fixed for a week then the same thing happened. I later found out it was the steering wheel lock (these cars are notorious for this problem) so I reluctantly called my local Nissan dealer and was met with dismay. 1250$! I said to myself there has to be a way for me to fix it so I looked up a few videos and everyone said just pull the fuse. So I did  and it didn’t work? So I also grounded the wire underneath the steering wheel controlling the system. After that my car was seemingly fine and then one day when I turned on the car it went into limp mode. I was shocked and confused (this is when the check engine light came on). So I took it to autozone and they gave me these 2 codes P1606 invalid or missing data for primary  and U1024. The car runs fine and hasn’t gone into limp mode since. But now I’m scared to drive it. I would like to get it fixed if it needs to. But i don’t know where the best place to go for that is or whether I should worry ab it in the first place. Please help

Me I would Google bypassing those anti-theft systems there's always someone somewhere that has a kit you can get to permanently delete it
