Honda Odyssey
Transmission slipping
I’m looking for some guidance. I have a 2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L. It just started a weird thing that when I go into a turn at any greater than 20-30mph, the transmission seems to slip. I get the triangle warning and slight grinding sound. I have to let off the gas because there’s no power and it recovers fine. And all power returns until the next time it does it. This started when I was making a left hand turn from a stop, but now seems to do it in all turns, but mostly left handed and the turns can be gradual and not tight as well. I drained and refilled twice, but no real change. Any ideas please? Oh, and there are no transmission codes. Thank you.

Please be more specific about what the car is actually doing.
Do you mean you are pressing the accelerator and the engine speed increases, but the car doesn't move?
Does it only happen while shifting? Are the shifts very sloppy or delayed, gears don't engage firmly, and engine flares?
etc.
I get the triangle warning
what kind of warning is it? Please read in your manual what it means.
What is the condition of the fluid? Is the level correct. Does it look clean? When was the last time the transmission was serviced and filter replaced?
Since it only happens while turning, and you're hearing grinding, then I suspect one of the following:
- differential has failed
- CV joints are worn or seized, in which case the grinding are your axles popping out of the transmission. You should have stopped immediately and towed the vehicle when you heard grinding. But since you kept driving, the axles, and your transmission are probably toast.
If you only hear it when you make a right turn or you only hear it when you make a left turn and not both right turns and left turns I might suspect a bad motor mount. What I would do is when you have it in park borrow somebody's help in starting the car and you stand in front of the car with the hood up and see if the engine moves when either they start it up or put it in gear with the foot on the brake. If you see it jostle in any respect other than just a slight centimeter movement you have a bad motor mount. That's cheaper than having to replace a transmission or differential.
