Hi Scotty,
This truck is actually belong to my brother in-law but his English isn't good so I'm asking in behalf of him. He is a poultry farmer, by the way.
The truck just acted up a days ago. Right after the engine started, the idle goes up to 4000 rpm / or max and stay there. When he depresses the brake, the idle goes down to normal but he has to keep his foot on the brake. As soon as he releases it, the idle goes back up to max.
He already tried to fix it by:
* Replacing the stoplight switch (which he was told by a friend)
* Clean the throttle flapper (in the throttle body)
The problem is still now. The next thing he could think of is to replace the throttle body.
My questions are:
1/ Is replacing the throttle body the next thing to check in your opinion? If not, what should he need to look for next?
2/ If throttle body is a good step next, does he have to reset anything and how?
Thanks in advance.

Really it does sound like a throttle body problem or perhaps some type of massive vacuum leak somewhere haven't checked for massive vacuum leaks too
Thank you Sir. So how do I check for massive vacuum leaks? Should that be the air intake lines/ or hoses? Thanks again.
