Hey! Looking at getting a used 2012 hyundai santa fe with 88k miles. Awd and no issues and well taken care of. I've done some research and it doesn't look like there's any major issues but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks!
I have a 2013 Kia Sorento, sister to the Santa Fe. I have the 2.4 4 cynlinder GDI engine, probably the same as you. I got to 115,000 before it started to use oil. It's a common theme with the Kia motors is they start to use oil and not a little.
Do so searching around using/burning oil issue. Other than that it's been fine, had to replace the lower control arms but it runs fine, everything still works, drives fine.
yeah they can be decent vehicles they are not great like Toyotas or Hondas but they cost a lot less just don't expect to get two or 300,000 miles out of those things without putting serious money into them
