2012 Tacoma SR5 automatic transmission problem

Hello Scotty and community, I own a 2012 Tacoma 4x4 w/ 96k miles. I bought it about a year ago and started noticing a slight shudder in the automatic transmission when speed slowing down, can't tell if it's when downshifting from 4th to 3rd, or 3rd to 2nd, but I definitely know its the transmission because the rpm needle jumps down during the shudder. Is this a simple fix like replacing a solenoid or is the tranny going out? And if the tranny is going out I do not plan on putting a new auto, how easy is it to swap to a manual? I live in Western New York and don't know of a reputable shop that would do the tranny swap from auto to manual. Do you know of any? I would try to sue the car dealership (West Herr) for selling me a lemon because I don't tow or drive like an idiot. But a lawsuit like that would probably just be a dead end. Thanks for any help

Do you know when the ATF was changed?

No but it is fairly clean looking

Drain a quarter and add Lucas additive transmission and pray it helps

Unless you have a written warranty from the stealership covering the exact transmission problem, you are SOL.

The swap to a manual would be difficult and costly with the tans, wiring harness, new ECM, pedal cluster and a hundred other things to make it all work.

Thanks

Get rid of it and buy yourself another good condition manual Tacoma.

Don’t even bother with the transmission swap.
