Hello Scotty,
My parents bought a 2013 Ford Taurus a few years back from a mechanic. The car now has over 200k km on it now and when they parked it today there was a snapping sound on the e-brake, and the pedal went loose. When they pressed down on the e-brake again, it engaged, but the e-brake pedal is now stuck down on the floor with the e-brake engaged. Is there any way for me to manually disengage the parking brake, or do I need to get it towed to a mechanic?

depends what bro going where the cable is and see if you can release the tension on it if you can it broke stuck on and you'll get it towed and they're going to have to take the cables apart and replace them and what other other Rusty parts exist
