Hello everyone,
I have a 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid XLE with a 2.5L inline-4 engine. It has 200,000 miles on it and won’t start. The car sat for a year, so I replaced the 12V battery and the key fob battery. However, the key fob won’t open the doors, and the car won’t start. When I jumped the battery, it started, but I let it run for 30 minutes, then turned it off, and it won’t start again. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all, and have a wonderful day.
- measure the battery voltage
- charge the battery
- jump start it again
- measure the voltage again while its running
@imperator Will do, I will keep you updated. Thank you!!!
@imperator Thank you for the advice; it worked. I discovered that the 12V battery was very low, and the cranking power was also weak.

that's what I expected, but it'll happen again if you don't fix the problem. Did you get it running? Did you measure the running voltage?
@imperator I I replaced the 12V battery, and everything is working as it should be. Thanks again.
You mean you replaced a second time? If the battery isn't charging properly it'll go dead again.
@imperator someone else installed the first battery. The new battery is charging, and everything is working properly. Thanks again!
