I have a 2014 Toyota Camry with a 2.5 liter engine and approx 100,000 miles. I just noticed today that the cooling fans are both running all the time even when the engine is cold and AC is off. I would like to know, what would be the most common cause? The sensor or the relay? Also, where is the coolant sensor located on this car? I know that it is normally on the head near the thermostat housing on many. Any info would help. (Ps, car has no codes for this issue, checked it with my bluedriver scan tool)
Actually that's more often a failure in the computer itself. But the relays don't cost much trying to realize could be a stick in real life. Or if you want to guess with the sensor go to AutoZone they can show you a picture of where it is and even Cellular One. But really doesn't hurt anything it keeps your car from overheating
Fan control module - AutoZone - $141.99?????
Thanks Guys, I live in Eastern Canada, so although it's better to have running fans than vice versa, it not good to have them on all the time in winter as the car will not warm up quickly and I will not run efficiently giving lower gas mileage. I actually found and cleaned the connector to the sensor on the head, and the problem seem to be fixed for now. Thanks for your comments and have a great day!
