Buying a second hand 2015 HONDA CR-V PROS and CONS of this Car Model.

the 2013-2018 rav4's were also very reliable and are a little nicer too.

Those are very reliable crossovers. The 2015 CRVs used the 2.4L 4 cylinder so no need to worry about any oil dilution issues. The CVTs on those can be a little weak so make sure you have an independent mechanic thoroughly inspect the car before you put any money down. If everything looks good, that should be a good daily driver.

Look at the Progressive Toyota Honda Common Problems and scroll down to Honda CR-V, you will have an idea of what to expect with this model.

That was the first year of the CVT transmission so they had many problems I'd recommend to be wary with this model.

following with what you have advised this is what I found under honda CR-V. 2015 "If you fixed the crazy engine vibrations, now you have the task to fix the transmission vibration that came with the refresh of the Honda CR-V, with an all new Continuously Variable automatic Transmission"

can you recommend me a reliable daily driver. i dont have much idea about cars, this would be actually my first car. not much a toyota fan. my first choice was ford edge but they also said its a bad engine from ford because of water pump leaking.

Yeah... Check out the Used Car Buying Guide I have linked above.
Are you in the US?

sorry no, I live in the middle east, i know specs vary from country to country.. i just want to make sure about the car im buying i dont want to waste much money on it..

hi, what do you think about 2012 Subaru 2.0 XV? automatic transmission. it has 80k miles on it. you think its still worth it? or i will face problems soon? thanks!

Subaru automatics are a bit weak. They usually go out around 100-110k miles so I think you should look for either a manual transmission or another brand. Do you have Mazda there?
Honestly the XV Crosstrek are great cars as long as you pick the correct year (to avoid oil consumption) and get a manual transmission.

Do you have the Honda HR-V or Toyota Venza?

Since you are not looking at the CR-V anymore I'd make a new question asking about the XV Crosstrek and any other options.

i just asked my old friend who happens to own a 2015 CRV and yes vibration is a lot according to him, when idle and also when using the AC. to be honest i really didnt think it would be this complicated. im just glad i check this site first before doing any car purchase. this page really opened my eyes on what to and not to buy. many thanks to people like you who really help people like me.

i saw one mazda CX5 im still checking on the pros and cons of it. honda HR-Vs are still expensive around here since i think its a new model of honda, im looking at around $10k used cars.. around 2012 to 2016.

Ok good luck!

My dad has a 2015 CRV LX AWD for daily driver

PROS.. 120,000 miles ( mostly highway) never once had to take it in for anything except regular maintenance, 35 Mpg highway can corner faster than a Rav4 and great in the snow like every Awd car should be.

CONS.. seats are lower to the floor than a Rav4, and the ride is rougher.

Overall I highly recommend it.

i know theres no perfect car that wont break down at some point. i just want something that is less of a head ache. im new in driving, and i didnt know that this things can be this complicated.. hahaha! {black}

I have driven one regularly for the past 6 years.  Have about 90K miles on it.  It works great.

The only drawback is the CVT, which seems sluggish compared to a manual, or a traditional automatic.  But it is not a deal breaker.

It's going to be very slow with it's small 2.4 engine, but it sure is pretty reliable and has incredibly high resale value. Check out edmunds consumer reviews on the 2015 cr-v to see some of the problems consumers have faced on the car.
