Hi, we're new here in Canada and I am shopping around for our family's car. Originally, with our limited budget, we were looking for a sedan, but then I stumbled into this cute 2015 Mazda 5 GS. I love that it has a sliding door. It has approximately 86,000 km mileage and is being sold for 13k CAD + taxes (x1.12%). I am buying this from a used car dealership. Please let me know your thoughts.

They are OK cars especially with low mileage. I would look out to the transmission. Also, try to get it for less and bring it to a mechanic to check it out.

Welcome to canada

i would say look for hondas and toyotas as your first cars

buying from dealership is expensive you might find better deals on autotrader or kijiji

but buying from a private person need lots of research, looking at car over under inside driving bring it to a mechanic to inspect properly. If you want to do that

i recommend search common problems with that car model you are looking for and ask same to the dealer or owner.there is a website called carcomplaints google it

then watch video “before buying used car by chris fix and scotty and bunch of others as well. That give you plenty of info what to look for when buying a car

good luck
