Hi everyone, what are your guys’ thoughts on a 2015 Toyota Corolla with the 1.8l 4 cyl with the CVT automatic transmission? Im looking into buying one with 104k miles. Should I expect it to last for at least the next few years to come without any problems? I will probably be driving around 10-12k miles a year.

They are excellent cars but that was one of the earlier CVT transmissions. So have a mechanic check that out thoroughly before you buy

Yeah, usually the CVT can go 150k miles before experiencing issues - if it has been driven moderately.

It's a bit higher millage - I would not recommend spending almost the half of the MSRP of a new one on an old one.

What I suggest is finding the same model year of the Corolla with the 4 speed automatic, it gets 2 mpg less but it lasts WAY longer - with that 1.8L and the 4 speed these just last forever.

Just make sure a mechanic checks it out and confirms it's in good shape!
