I currently have an AWD BMW 4 Series with a 2.0-liter diesel engine (184PS) with 60,000 miles on the odometer. Hasn't caused me any problems yet.
I'm thinking of selling it and getting a 2015 Rav4 with the 2.2D-4 diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Toyotas that I'm looking at have 40k miles and cost 25K dollars. I plan on keeping the car for at least 6-7 years. I put on 20k miles annually. Should I look for a cheaper one with more than 70k miles or should I go for a more expensive one with less mileage?

I think that price is a bit stupid. Brand new ones start at $26k
Maybe because I'm residing in Europe. I'm converting from euro. Here a new Rav4 with basic trim starts at 32k. The one I'm thinking about buying is the top trim.

2015 is unpleasant year. It is two years old generation and wasn't perfected yet. There you have more info what to care about (link). Anyway test it and have it inspected by a mechanic if you like it.
