2015 tundra transmission fluid change

Hello Scotty,

I purchased a used 2015 toyota tundra at 83,000 miles 2 years ago. The truck now has little over 100k miles. I was wondering If it is advised to change the transmission fluid. If it is, do I just drain and fill, or do I need to worry about changing the filter as well.  Thanks.

You only do drain and refill for a transmission fluid change. Never flush it cause it can ruin your transmission. For the filter you really don't have to change if you change the fluid every 30k miles. We changed our filter for the first time in our 06 Camry when it had like 330k miles. I would advise you change the filter when it hopefully reaches 300k miles.

It's better to just change it. You wouldn't put a dirty oil filter back on your engine.
it only costs $20
