vibration from front bottom when uphill at low speed

Hi Scotty,

My 2016 F150 3.5L Ecoboost only has 17,000 miles, the bad thing is it parked outside for 3 years. I started to drive it like 3-6 times per week since 2020.

The truck always has one problem: when acceralate at a low speed uphill (doesn't matter how steep the uphill is), the truck will experience a vibration from the front bottom. The vibration is like a thing that buzz from front to center of the truck. It is very likely the vibration is only travel from bottom front to bottom middle of the truck, it is not likely travels from bottom to top.

The truck is 6 speed automatic, I would say the vibration happen most often when it's at low rmp on Gear 3 or Gear 4 when uphill. It happens while on other Gear too, but I would say maybe just because I may not on Gear 2 low when uphill or gear 5/6 are not commonly when uphill.

The vibration is not serious, it's like I don't feel it much from the seat. The sound is obvious and I think it may be the shaft, engine mount, or maybe transmission.

I just changed a new set of tires, the vibration gets mild, but it is still there.

Any ideas for this Scotty?

Best regards,

Ron

Well check the drive shaft first. Could easily be a drive shaft. You joints going out and it's vibrating that's relatively common. The transmission of motor mounts are easy to check. You just get a jack and a piece of 2x4 and start jacking up the transmission of the engine from the bottom and see if any of the motor mounts are cracked and the engine or transmission moves. And you can see the gap with the transmission or engine mount is broken
