2016 Jeep Wrangler Lifter Bearings Replacement

Hello Scotty...first off, thank you for all your work and the information you've put out there. i own a 2019 Jeep Wrangler and seems like i have the dreaded ticking noise from my 3.6 engine. Its going to cost me approx $3500 or more to replace a $7 part. I was told more likely its the bearing failure in the lifter/rocker. My Jeep has only 40,000 miles and i absolutely did not expect this to happen, especially with this many miles on the Jeep. This is super annoying and seems its a common problem with these engines. I don't think i have a choice and needs to be done before other damage occurs. After all the many articles i've read, seems like this is a common problem has been ongoing for many years and looks like Jeep has done nothing about it. Any insight or advice is appreciated.

Thank you Scotty

Yup the dreaded V6 Pentastar 3.6 is a heap of crap. They fail soon after purchase.

Most Fiat/Stellantis vehicles, are heaps of crap.

Jeeps have crap for a long time. everyone I met who had one ... they were always broken.

My advice is to do your research before you buy a vehicle.
