I have a 2016 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner 4.0 with 73000 miles. It is very hard to start when its cold outside. It turns over very strong and fast like it always has but don't fire up for a good while. I put my scanner on it and it shows this vehicle has no codes. The battery is strong and not very old.  After approximately 45 seconds to a minute of constantly spinning over it starts. Once it starts, it runs excellent and will do so all day.

Next time it happens I plan on stop spinning over and leave key in the run position for about 2 minutes giving extra time for fuel pump to pressure fuel system. If that works it is probably pressure regulator or the fuel pump itself. Another thing I want to try is spin it over and spray starting fluid to see if it will start. This would verify spark.

I am hoping that someone has seen this problem before and knows exactly what I should do next. I don't want to guess and just start changing parts.

Either way, I don't trust the truck and need to figure out the issue as soon as possible. I appreciate any and all help this forum can give. Thanks in advance.

Get a battery with the high CCA. It most likely solves the issue.
