2016 taurus cruise control

Hello, I just bought a 2016 taurus sho awd v6 turbo with 50k miles, I got it from a toyota dealer, it was a single owner trade in.

The cruise control works for about the first 5 miles after starting it, and then a collision sensor block error comes up and shuts off the cruise control and won't allow me to turn it back on, the dealer checked the sensors and said one was loose, and they rest the system, but it's still doing it of course.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Also the climate control turn on and off on its own but I'm pretty sure that's the lower touch panel is bad, as half the time it doesn't read any input.

The vehicle was involved in a wreck and so the airbags went off. When that happens some components cannot be reset but must be replaced. I suspect the collision sensor or wiring is damaged and should be throughly checked out.

As for the other items..its unknown as to how they got to malfunction but the repair of the collision system should take first priority then the others. Its possible they are inter related but no one can tell without exploring one system at a time.

This is probably the reason why the previous owner traded it in. You need to take it back to the dealer and have them fix the problem. You should have warranty on the vehicle, don't you? They probably couldn't fix the problem the first time because it's a Toyota dealership trying to fix Ford's technology.

Hmm yeah that makes sense there was light damage reported on the front end but it didn't seem major,  thank you for the help, I guess it's a good thing I got the warranty with it
