Hi Scotty Savage,
My flexplate wont turn when we turn the crank bolt? I took it to a Toyota dealership to do a diagnostic test for $200 and all they found was a bad starter, do you think if I get a new starter that my crank bolt will turn? My car had no prior issues, my car sat for two months because some thief broke the back window and after I tried to start it up after two months it wouldn't start. We bought a starter from AutoZone and that didn't work, so that's why I took it to Toyota for a diagnostic and they said that the new starter from AutoZone was not compatible with the push-start car so that is why it wouldn't start. Toyota wants to charge $400 for the starter and $200 for labor but I am scared that that will not resolve my car issue? Thank you for your advice. I love your channel you are so wise, I could listen to your knowledge all day. Please stay healthy so I could continue to hear your updated knowledge!

Well, unless the starter is jammed into the flywheel and not allowing it to turn that wouldn't make any sense. So if you really want to see, just take the two bolts off, remove the starter. Then if you can turn the crank that is the problem. But if you still can't turn it then you've got a blown engine
Thank you for the response! 😉
