2017 Kia Sportage Turbo

My Kia has 60000 miles and will burn 1/2 qt of 5w30 oil every 300 miles. I have added an oil catch can to prevent crankcase oil from entering the intake. My question is

Where is the oil going.

Clarification: 0.5 quart every 300 miles or 3,000 miles?

Your piston rings are worn out. You burn the oil .

You can't fix it. There is a lawsuit against Kia because you have a defective engine.

https://kiaenginesettlement.com/

2011–2018 and certain 2019 Kia Optima, 2012–2018 and certain 2019 Kia Sorento, and 2011–2018 and certain 2019 Kia Sportage vehicles suffer from a defect that can cause engine seizure, stalling, engine failure, and engine fire, that engine seizure or stalling can be dangerous if experienced, and that some owners and lessees have been improperly denied repairs under the vehicle’s warranty.

If you are burning oil nothing you can really do about it keep on adding oil make sure it doesn't run dry.

The only way to fix the Kia oil consumption problem is to sell it.

Apparently, this is a big enough problem that law firms are getting involved. See this:

If you are the original owner of that Kia and are truly burning 0.5 quart every 300 miles, have you taken it in to the dealer?  If the original owner you should still have the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty.

Then get rid of the vehicle before the warranty is up.
