I have an infamous (spark knock) on acceleration mainly at lower speeds

Been to two dealers and they aren't any help. They are trying to say it's a "fuel pump click". I'm old enough I kow what a spark knock is.

I've tried higher octane and it seems a tiny bit better however the manual requires Regular. I personally think it's the 10 speed tranny upshifting too soon. If I start off in "Sport mode" it seems not as bad as it holds lower gear longer. Can you offer any insight? Thank you in advance. Wesley

I neglected to ad this truck has 36,000 miles

Wesley- I have been following some of the recent issues with 2018/2019 F150's with the 5.0. There is a TSB (#18-2354) for 10sp transmission acting oddly - clunking clicking on deceleration though. Also some issues with oil consumption with the new cylinder liners that were used starting with 2018 5.0 Coyote engine (TSB #19-2058).

Only issue I'm having is the engine spark knock. Ford won't address it because unless it throws a code they say it's normal. Does it mostly in hot weather.

That seems to be a theme with these car dealer service centers these days: They say “It’s normal” to real problems.
