Hey Scotty ,luv your channel. I have a question about F150 engines. I'm looking into getting my first Ford truck and I see that there are alot of engine options. I have friends that say certain engines are better than others. I won't be towing much, maybe a camper every now and again and small trailer. What is your opinion on the engine choices for the 2019-2020 engines? thanks and congrats on being #1 on youtube

Scotty recommends plain old V8 for longevity but the ford 5 liter V8 had some issues before and I'm not sure if they fixed it or not. On the other hand, Ford quality went down in recent years. Have you considered Toyota Tundra?

If you want an F-150 from the current generation and want it to last as long as possible, stick to the 2015-2017 model years with the true and tried 2nd generation naturally aspirated 5.0L Coyote V8 mated to the 6-speed AT.  Avoid the other power plants and the 10-speed AT (jury is out on longevity of that transmission).
