Car stalls

2020 Honda civic Si

I got this civic a couple months ago (2020 si with 21,900 miles) and had to replace the tires and clutch first thing. I have another problem that I thought was related to driving with a burned out clutch but it still happens rarely after it was replaced. When switching into first gear and starting to take it will a kind of "soft" stall where there's no weird sounds or bucking and it feels like the car is engaged. It happened so quietly I couldn't tell it stalled until the prompt to restart the engine came up. Yesterday on the way to work it happened again and after I restarted the engine and took off it "limped". I started in first and switched into second and this lasted about 20 seconds before it started driving normally. This is the first time its limped but the soft stall has happened maybe once every week or two and I drive very often.

I'll also add that the first week I had the car it rained really hard and there's this part of the road in front of my apartment under construction that flooded. The roads very narrow with no turns and lots of barriers so I couldn't avoid and drove through water that must have gone up to the bottom of the door. Could this be an electrical problem?

The car should be scanned to see if there are any DTCs. This would be the first step for a proper diagnosis.

Btw, the clutch should not have to be replace in a car with only 22k miles.

I'll bring it up with my mechanic on my upcoming service for sure.
That was my B, first time buying a used car and a manual. Didn't even realize something was wrong until a week in and my car failed to go into 1st gear at a stop light. Luckily there was a service board for 20/21 MT civics about premature clutch failure so they replaced it under warranty.

Good to hear the premature clutch failure was caused by a manufacturer's defect instead of the previous owner's foot.
