I finally got a second job so I will have more money so I can get a more reliable car.
I have a 2016 Jetta with 142k miles on it. Nothing major wrong with that, but just started to slip from 5th gear to 4th gear, close to timing belt replacement at 150k (will cost over $1400), and minerals come out a little bit when doing the oil change.
I am thinking about trading it in with a new car by using Costco Auto Program. I don't want to get a used one since with all the discounts, a new one would even have a better deal than a used one.
Is 2022 Camry LE reliable? What should I look for when purchasing a new car? Is the 8-speed tranny doing better compared to 4 years ago when Camry first using it?
Thanks!
Good car, the 8 speed can be kinda sluggish at times at a stop, but otherwise, they did improve the smoothness and shift quality. Go for it 🙂
I bought a 2021 Camry SE in April. It's been a great vehicle so far. I used to drive American-made cars before and thought American cars had more sturdy bodies and were safer. My Camry proved me wrong.
Keep in mind that the acceleration of the Camry isn't great. It's just ok. But it'll last at least a decade if you maintain it, probably, and I didn't pull that fact out of my butt. My grandfather drives a 2008 Camry, and my Uncle drives a 2005 Camry. Both cars are still going strong and have never broken down. They maintain them regularly.
Yeah I get a new camera they seem to be pretty bulletproof
