[Solved] 3.5L V6 olds Intrigue engine in a Fiero?

I'm currently putting a 4.5L Cadillac Allante V8 into an '88 Fiero with a 5-spd manual Getrag transaxle. But I came across an engine that looks particularly interesting that I might rather do instead of the V8 Allante- It's a 3.5L 24v OHC all aluminum Oldsmobile V6 that revs to 7,000rpm and that was only made for 3-4 years (99-02). It's called the ShortStar because it was designed by the same team that designed the (in)famous NorthStar. It puts out 215hp and 235lb/ft of torque and it was found in the Intrigue and as the base engine in the '01-'02 Aurora. I think the Fiero should have a high revving, lightweight, moderately powerful engine so it sounds perfect to me- in theory.

So my question is, have you heard of any horror stories about these engines? Did they seem to hold up well over time or were they subject to the same head bolt issues that their big brother NorthStars were known for?

Thanks

The Shortstar motors did hold up better and did not have the head bolt issues of the Northstar.
