Hey Scotty! I have a 2012 Nissan 370Z w/ 101K miles, 6spd manual. I have a high pitch whine when I press the pedal in 6th gear, normally it happens or is more noticeable at high speeds. It goes away once I stop pressing the pedal, or if I press the clutch in… it goes away… I have a clip below for you to watch… what do you think it could be?
sounds like it could be the bearings going out or it could use some gear oil in the gearbox
Hey Scotty, I have a 2012 Nissan 370Z manual 6spd with 101K miles. I have a whining noise when I REV in neutral, and whining during acceleration. Here’s a video down below to hear the sound, please help. Is this my input shaft wearing or is it because straight cut gears if that’s how’s the transmission is designed?
