4.0L Jeep overheating

Hey Scottie and greeting from Florida!! I’ve always loved jeeps but never actually owned one until very recently. I purchased a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 141,000 miles on it and has the old 4.0 inline 6. I thought I did a substantial amount of research in knowing what I was getting myself into but I think my own mechanic may have hit a snag. We knew it was leaking coolant when I purchased (for 3,000$) and needed a water pump radiator and thermostat , no problem. It also had a small leak in the valve cover gasket so we repaired that as well. Fast forward a thousand miles later and I’m sitting at idle with the jeep in park and it just starts steaming like crazy under the hood. Was able to get it home without overheating over the halfway mark with a trail of steam / coolant following me the whole way lol upon closer inspection there is literally coolant all over the engine and everything under the hood was soaked. Any idea what could cause this ? I’d like to say he’s checked all the “plumbing” or tubes / hoses I’m just hoping I have sunk 5k into a total piece of junk I was really hopeful to get two or three good years out of this thing (I use it for transporting // real estate sales and put a lot of miles on so any advice is greatly appreciated !! Thank you for the selfless work you do for us little people! We love you !!!
