I have a 1999 ford f250 super duty 4x4 with 351800 miles I got it in late oct 2022. will not start in first gear after a stop. will start in second gear. I think it was doing it when I got the truck. I have to shift manually in to first gear. I have replaced solenoid pack and serviced with new filter and fluid. need idea have no money on fixed income. please help if you can with where to start. no codes when scanned.
Well if you don't have any money I'd say drive it the way it is. Obviously it is starting to wear out in internally. I would assume one of the planetary gears is going out but you'd have to strip it down to fix that and that cost to smell fortune. Now you could try any of the lube guard additive some of those can help something for a short period of time. Anyways. All the auto parts stores sell hit stuff
