after not starting the car for 2 weeks our 89 Toyota Camry LE wouldn't start. I checked the battery and charged it to full capacity this car has 100,000 miles on it it is automatic and has been relatively Problem free. I checked most of the fuses and couldn't find one that was obviously blown. All connections to the battery are tightened and secured. Didn't hear any clicks as if it were a starter on its way out. Without doing a diagnostic check on it yet what do you think your guess would be as to where to look first and what might be the problematic component? I was taught to test not guess so I understand that this would just be a guesstimation based on the small amount of symptoms that I have provided. But what do you think Scotty in your experience where's the first place to look or what has been a component that has stood out as far as the usual suspect?
Well try this while somebody turns the key on to the start position whack the starter with hammer and a long screwdriver or a big broom handle. If it starts to turn over, that means you're starter is bad. That's not it. Start checking for loose connections and a bad ignition switch
