I have a Cadillac Deville 98 4.6 100,000 miles Northstar which is using oil the combustion chambers are pretty carbined up and the original driver probably didn’t drive it hard enough and I think the rings are sticking. I’ve read a lot on the issue including the W.O.T. (wide open throttle), the gym recommended top engine soak and The BG products Squid combustion chamber carbon cleaning system.Which consists of a chemical injected into each piston and bumps the starter every ten mins while the chemical is filled in the combustion chamber. I finally tracked down a squid machine the issue is the BG employee offered to rent it to me but now is insisting that the engine performance restoration BG 109 (which consists of a chemical you put in the crank case and rev at 1200 rpm for 10 mins then change oil) will work better what is your advice? Thank you
let me tell you something you use strong cleaner and old stupid Cadillac engines odds are you'll end up damaging the head gasket that'll be blown.it burns oil it burns oil clean air only make it worse he'll probably burn more oil I would just live with it those only have a limited lifespan anyway.as long as you can drive it drive it don't throw money into it the car basically has no value
